The Voice & The Vagus Nerve

The vagus nerve (aka the queen of the parasympathetic nervous system) is the longest cranial nerve and one of the most important nerves in your body.
 
Stimulating your vagus nerve increases your vagal tone which helps to manage and reduce stress, calms your nervous system and can improve your physical, mental, emotional and vocal health.

As the vagus nerve is connected to your vocal folds/instrinsic muscles of the larynx (aka voice box) and the muscles at the back of your throat, the vagus nerve can be naturally stimulated with your own voice.


In other words, stimulating the vagus nerve  with your own voice on a daily basis, will help your body to relax faster after stress (#stressresilience) and allows your body to grow, repair, and restore itself.

Let me introduce myself...

Hi, my name is Maartje Monné, I’m Dutch and live in the South of France since 2010. I live there with my French husband, two boys Lucas (2012) & Tim (2017) and my cat.

 

I’m fascinated by the voice since I was little: Remember Disneys ‘The Little Mermaid’ & ‘The Sound of Music’, that’s where it all began.... :-)

As an SLP/Voice and Psycho-Energetic Therapist (and thanks to my own life challenges) I discovered that the voice, besides being an important (artistic) expression & communication tool, can also be seen as a powerful and playful built-in healing tool that can massage your body from the inside out and help to improve your health and well-being in so many ways.

 

My (soul) mission?: To learn/help you strengthen your vagus nerve, improve and empower your voice and to rewrite your story so that you'll become happier, healthier and the best version of yourself!

What language is the program?

The support on Instagram, Masterclasses, and Q&A session will be in English. The 1:1 coaching sessions & individual support (only included in the Extended Package) can be done in English, Dutch or French.

How can I attend the live online Masterclasses/Group Calls?

You can attend to the live online Group/Masterclasses via Zoom

What if I can't attend an online Masterclass/Group Call live?

No worries! A recording will be sent to all registered participants so you can watch and repeat the online Group/Masterclass in your own time during 6 months.

How long do I get access to the recordings of the Masterclasses/Group Calls?

Each recording stays available for 6 month.

How long do I get access to the Private Instagram account?

The Private Instagram account (only included in the Standard & Extended Package) stays active until January 31th 2023.
